URL Encoder & Decoder
Percent-encode text for URLs or decode it back. Use component mode for query values and full-URL mode for whole addresses.

What is URL encoding?
URLs can only contain a small set of characters. Everything else — spaces, Hindi or Tamil letters, emoji, and symbols like & — must be written as % followed by two hex digits. For example, a space becomes %20 and / becomes%2F.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between "component" and "full URL" mode?
Component mode (encodeURIComponent) encodes everything except letters, digits and - _ . ! ~ * ' ( ). Use it for a single query value. Full URL mode (encodeURI) keeps characters like : / ? & = so a whole address stays usable.
Why is a space encoded as %20 and not +?
Both appear on the web. %20 is the standard for URLs; + means a space only inside HTML form data. Turn on "Space as +" if you are building form-style query strings.
Why does decoding fail with "URI malformed"?
A % sign must be followed by two hex digits, like %2F. A lone % or an incomplete sequence such as %E2%82 cannot be decoded.
